I don't expect I'll be posting again before St. Patricks Day - barring an unlikely Guinness-induced post on Saturday night -- so here's a few Irish-themed items to keep you busy for the weekend:
First up, a track for the Irish hipsters in the house. Micky Slim's house remix of the House of Pain classic:
Probably a little more club-oriented than what I usually put up, and the sound quality is pretty rugged, so some of you may want to just skip right over that one. The next track has Biggie and Tupac showing their Irish roots. Well, not really, but the song is titled House of Pain. Close enough.
And finally, a video from last year, the classic leprechaun sighting in Mobile, Alabama:
"It could be a crackhead."

"Whoever saw the leprechaun say yay!"
I can't tell who's joking in that video, the abc news team or the people in mobile. Awesome either way.

Hmm..I left a comment earlier, but apparently it got erased.
Anyway, that Pete Rock remix was a bonus track on the original House of Pain Fine Malt Lyrics cd. Not sure if it was included on newer versions of the cd, though. There was also a heavy metal-ish remix of Shamrocks and Shenanigans. Sounded awful, and was probably the inspiration for Limp Bizkit.
Yes indeedy, the self titled HoP debut CD had the Pete Rock remix included. The heavy metal remix of 'Shamrocks...' was titled the 'Butch Vig remix' and was only available on the single b-side. Also, the b-side included the alternate lyric of "you make me sick, like DJ Quik" which spurred a ill dis track from Quik, "Can't F*ck Wit A N****"
