DJ Wats, one of Kay Slay's proteges, put together a mixtape featuring a bunch of unreleased material from rappers Papoose and Mense. Kay Slay had signed Papoose, but has no connections to Mense.
Anyway, Mense put the mixtape out on the streets, Kay Slay found out about it and fired DJ Wats. Now the mixtape is avaialable for free, online.
To be honest, the backstory behind all this is more interesting than any of the songs, but find out for yourself.
I see you, bro (even though your comment text didn't get posted)...checked out your site, and I'm feeling one of the tracks up there. Hit me up and let me know if I can post one of your songs up here on the blog.
Yeah, I'll give Mense a slight edge over Papoose. Still wouldn't rate him higher than an average rapper, though maybe that's just because I'm not really feeling the production on the tracks. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing -- given an interesting enough backstory, an average rapper with average beats can sell millions of records these days...
Mense is nice. I heard the Whoo Kid Mixtape also! Hes got some versatile shit on there. I'm loving it. Papoose is getting old anyway...

Well at the very least, Mense's promo team seems to have a better understanding of the blog world...
